Mon dieu, Captain Hastings!

Just a quick one today.... need a pint too badly to write anything worthwhile.

Semi-interesting factoid - 30 years ago this very day Agatha Christie kicked the bucket.....

.......wait for it.......

.....the butler did it.

Hey, if you wanted funny you should have gone to Jokemail!

Cheers m'dears!

I have a terrible admission to make...I bloody love Poirot and 'eess little grey cellze' and also Nero Wolfe, confound it, and...oh the shame of it...Inspector Morse...in fact I cried slightly when he died...I should point out however that I am a champion crier.
I will go slink off now.

Binty, binty, binty, shame on you ... you should never let a little thing like updating get in the way of a pint.

Does anyone remember that pilot of the 'Mrs. Brown Mysteries' or something, with Diana Rigg in? I thought that was pretty fucking quality. Sherlock Holmes ain't that bad either, we were reading about his opium and cocaine habits in Year 9, which was fun, as there was a bit of class participation, which is always nice.

Waking the Dead ... Silent Witness pre-Sam Ryan's departure ... I like the forensic pathology ones most, although nothing will ever top Basil the Great Mouse detective. That bat still gives me the fucking creeps.

I loved that bat, especially when he wore a stripy sailer top!
