Strange, a friend at this end made a similar wisecrack after her fella offered to take her to a seafood restraunt for Valentines Day... or VD as I prefer to call it.
Amen to that.
According to many sources, love was invented by the Hallmark corporation in 1911 in preparation for the first Valentines day.
Of course, now that I have Genital Humming and Nipplepsy, I'm not allowed to partake.
I managed to pick up a dozen red roses for 2 quid yesterday (16th Feb) in Tesco. I think my wife was impressed.
i am happy to say valentines day passed by in a blaze of indifference for me... and then i met someone two days after!
she is very nice!
